Dandee Red® is an early, full red apple with fall apple characteristics. It ripens four days ahead of Paulared and is a large, full red apple. It is firm, juicy, and very flavorful.
In a season where most apples are soft and have a very short shelf life, Dandee Red® is hard, crisp and juicy and will keep two months or more in storage. It’s the best apple in it’s season.
Dandee Red® Gala was discovered as a seedling by Dan Simmons of Peace Valley Orchards in Rogers Ohio.
